DOJ report reveals anti-Christian bias in federal agencies during Biden's administration

Justice Department Investigation Uncovers Anti-Christian Bias

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated on Saturday that a recent investigation by the Justice Department has uncovered a “systemic culture” of anti-Christian bias across federal agencies during the Biden administration.

During a segment on “Saturday in America,” Blanche discussed a lengthy report detailing how the FBI monitored Catholic clergy and the IRS denied tax-exempt status to religious organizations based on their teachings.

“What we found in this extensive report goes beyond just fraud investigations or field offices,” Blanche explained. “Targeting Christians and individuals based on their faith represents a systemic problem within the Department of Justice.”

The findings, which were published by a task force on Thursday, allege a pattern of behavior under the Biden administration that may infringe on religious freedoms. According to the Justice Department’s statement, the administration has used regulatory measures to undermine protections for people of faith.

“President Biden has pushed policies that remove legal safeguards for religious Americans that conflict with his policy objectives,” the report claims. “While he did not reform federal laws, his administration employed various policy tools to achieve similar aims.”

The report also mentions that parents’ concerns expressed at school board meetings were labeled as a “threat,” and federal employees’ religious objections to vaccine mandates were dismissed as “dishonest” or “not truly religious.”

Another assertion from the report indicates that the Office of Civil Rights, under Biden, has favored certain groups over Christians, suggesting that Christians cannot experience religious discrimination, only other faiths.

Blanche described the report’s findings as “very disappointing,” while stressing that the current administration is committed to addressing bias within the Justice Department.

“On his first day in office, President Trump made it clear that this was going to change,” he noted.

In the report, former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s focus on reproductive health services also received attention. Garland, who often references his family’s history with religious persecution, faced criticism from Republican lawmakers concerning the department’s decisions that might disadvantage Christians.

Garland famously remarked during a 2023 House hearing, “It is completely outrageous and irrational to think that someone from my background would discriminate against any religion.”

The investigation stems from Trump’s executive order aimed at eradicating anti-Christian bias within the federal government, which emphasizes the importance of protecting the religious freedoms of Americans.

Fox News Digital has attempted to reach out to representatives of the Biden administration for comments on these findings.
