Tire Marks and Damage at Florida Golf Course

In Florida, detectives are looking into a group of teenagers who caused extensive damage to a local golf course after a late-night joyride. The incident took place at Weston Hills Golf Course on Saturday, April 18, around 7:17 p.m.

Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) responded to reports of suspicious activities and discovered significant damage to the greens. Witnesses claimed they saw several juveniles riding mopeds and golf carts across the course, leading to what seemed like chaos.

Local authorities shared a video showing the teenagers weaving through the landscape. They appeared undeterred by property damage, which officials estimate could result in costs upwards of $3,000 to repair.

According to witnesses, the teens were speeding, stopping abruptly, and even skidding across the greens, leaving marked traces behind. At least four of the teens were noted using motorized bicycles, while others drove golf carts in restricted areas designed to protect the grass.

The scene, a well-known facility that features two championship courses spread over more than 300 acres, showcases not just the beauty of the landscape but the irresponsibility of the youths involved.

BSO has categorized this incident as criminal mischief and is actively seeking to identify those responsible. Although specific descriptions of the boys have not been released, authorities are hopeful that video evidence will help generate leads.

Anyone with information about the identities of the teenagers is encouraged to reach out to Detective Maria Lopain at BSO’s Weston District. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the SaferWatch app or by contacting Broward Crime Stoppers.
