Sabrina Carpenter Shines at the 2026 Met Gala

Sabrina Carpenter certainly made her mark at the 2026 Met Gala. The “Manchild” singer chose a unique, custom Dior gown that was crafted entirely from film, which made quite the statement on the red carpet.

In line with this year’s theme, “Costume Art,” and the dress code centered on “Fashion is Art,” she wore a high-neck halter dress. The gown was adorned with a film strip that featured scenes from the classic 1954 movie “Sabrina,” which starred Audrey Hepburn.

The ensemble was complemented by a sparkling tulle train and a daring thigh-high slit. To complete her look, she added an eye-catching headpiece that featured the movie’s title card, surrounded by shimmering diamonds, along with striking Louboutin heels.

At 26, this is not Carpenter’s first time at the Met Gala. In fact, she has attended four previous ones, but this event had an extra layer of significance as she served on the host committee alongside notable figures like Zoe Kravitz, Doja Cat, and Teyana Taylor. The evening saw co-hosts Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, with sponsorship from Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.

Even though she missed the gala in 2023, Carpenter has made appearances at the event every other year since 2022. In her last outing, she celebrated the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” by showcasing Louis Vuitton bodysuits and tuxedo jackets, opting to skip pants entirely.

In the previous year, she embraced a princess theme at the “Sleeping Beauty: Fashion Awakening” event, donning a striking black bustier dress paired with an oversized Cinderella-blue train, designed by Oscar de la Renta, in sync with her then-boyfriend Barry Keoghan’s look.

Most recently, she dazzled at the Grammy Awards in February, choosing a bohemian Valentino dress that evoked classic Hollywood vibes in a soft blush pink. Just last month, she was also a fashion standout at Coachella, performing in a variety of custom Dior outfits.
