Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about Rudy Giuliani coming back to life just days before his pneumonia hospitalization.

Giuliani Hospitalized as Kimmel Mocks Him

Just days before former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was admitted to the hospital in critical condition due to pneumonia, Jimmy Kimmel took a jab at him during his monologue, joking that Giuliani had come back from the “grave.”

During an episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that aired on Tuesday, Kimmel referenced an earlier controversial joke where he called First Lady Melania Trump a “pregnant widow.” This remark came shortly before her third assassination attempt on her husband, President Donald Trump. He also mentioned Giuliani during the segment.

“Last night, America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani rose from the grave and gave his opinion on the ongoing drama involving me,” Kimmel quipped.

Kimmel then played a clip from his podcast where he recalled Giuliani, aged 81, calling him “one of the most disgusting people in this country.”

Kimmel replied, “I have to say it hurts to be called uncomfortable by a man who took off his pants in front of Borat’s daughter.”

Giuliani has been hospitalized since Sunday with pneumonia. According to his spokesman, Ted Goodman, he is currently in “serious but stable condition” and breathing independently.

Goodman elaborated that Giuliani’s restrictive lung disease is a result of extensive exposure to toxins from the September 11, 2001, attacks during his time as mayor.

“Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently hospitalized and remains in critical but stable condition. Mayor Giuliani is a warrior who has faced every challenge in life with unwavering strength, and he is fighting with the same level of strength as we speak. Please join us in praying for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani,” Goodman posted on social media.

Following the announcement of Giuliani’s hospitalization, President Trump took to Truth Social, praising him as “the best mayor New York City has ever had.”
