Mike Rogers Overcomes Extreme Opposition in MI Senate Race

Michigan Senate Race: GOP Candidate Critiques Democratic Opponents

Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers expressed strong criticism of the Democratic contenders for Michigan’s Senate seat during his show, citing their extreme leftist views. He pointed out that one of the candidates, Democratic state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, has made statements reflecting disdain for the state.

Engaging directly with McMorrow, Rogers raised concerns about her residency timeline and highlighted her past tweets expressing negativity towards Michigan. “She claims to have moved to Michigan in 2014, yet there’s evidence she was still voting in California during that time. There are also multiple tweets where she clearly states her dislike for Michigan and a desire to return to California,” he said, describing the situation as quite peculiar for someone seeking to represent the state.

Rogers further opined, “I genuinely believe she should consider going back to California, as it seems to suit her much better. Her radical stance aligns with the far-left energy in today’s Democratic Party, making her, well, a bit of a mess.”

Host Mike Slater referenced a particularly notable tweet from McMorrow where she shared a dream of the U.S. splitting up, questioning how she can run for Senate in a place she seems to dislike. “She’s campaigning in a state alongside people she doesn’t seem to connect with. What is going on here?” he mused.

Rogers argued that the Democrats are facing significant internal disarray, referring to them as “a dumpster fire.” He mentioned another candidate, Abdul El-Sayed, who reportedly advised his team against discussing the topic of the Ayatollah assassination to respect grieving constituents in Dearborn.

Rogers criticized the far-left direction of his opponents, remarking, “They seem to reject the American way of life and our government. They’re quite vocal about it.” He expressed disbelief at their perspectives and pointed out the recent addition of left-wing influencer Hasan Piker to their ranks, who made controversial statements about America. When asked about disavowing Piker’s remarks, El-Sayed did not distance himself from them.

“They aim to represent this great nation, yet speak poorly of it. It’s baffling,” Rogers stated. He also commented on Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens, mentioning her votes to adopt California standards in Michigan and suggesting that these candidates are misleading voters. “They might present themselves as moderates, but their actions tell a different story,” he concluded.

If Rogers secures a victory in Michigan, it could shift control of the Senate to the Republican Party.
