Burlington, the discount retailer, plans to open over 20 new stores across 20 states this month, continuing its expansion to exceed 1,000 locations in the U.S.
Back in March, the company announced its intention to add 110 new stores by fiscal year 2026, which concludes on January 30, 2027, along with a new distribution center in Savannah, Georgia.
As of the end of fiscal 2025’s fourth quarter, Burlington operated 1,212 stores across 46 states, including Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
The grand opening events are set to start on May 8 at four locations, featuring Santa Clarita, California, and Columbus, Ohio, alongside two more spots in Kent and Longview, Washington.
Additionally, on May 15, another 12 stores will open in these areas:
- Avondale, Arizona
- Bakersfield, California
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Bourbonnais, Illinois
- Louisville, Kentucky
- Fort Gratiot Township, Michigan
- Elmira, New York
- Asheville, North Carolina
- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
- McKinney, Texas
- Eau Claire, Wisconsin
- Oshkosh, Wisconsin
On May 22, three more stores will open in Manteca, California, and Jersey City, New Jersey.
Furthermore, Burlington is set to launch seven additional stores by the end of this month in these communities:
- Rochester, Minnesota
- Watson, New Jersey
- St. Clairsville, Ohio
- Willoughby Hills, Ohio
- Conway, South Carolina
- Houston, Texas
- Round Rock, Texas
Recently, Burlington also announced a groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming distribution center in Buckeye, Arizona, located near Phoenix. This center will cover around 2 million square feet and is projected to open in 2028.
