Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and other Democrats urge the DNC to share its 2024 analysis.

Pressure on DNC to Release 2024 Election Results

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is facing increasing pressure to disclose the findings of the 2024 election, with even former Vice President Kamala Harris weighing in on the matter, despite potential political fallout.

After taking office, DNC Chairman Ken Martin initiated a review of the party’s struggles during the 2024 election. However, he opted to keep the findings under wraps for several months, garnering criticism from various party members.

This decision to withhold the report was largely viewed as an attempt to safeguard Harris’s political image, especially if she considers a run for the presidency in 2028.

Interestingly, Harris confirmed to the Post that, while she hadn’t directly communicated with Martin about this, she had privately expressed to her donors that the report should indeed be made public. NBC News first reported on her push for transparency regarding the autopsy.

Interestingly, Senator Cory Booker also publicly advocated for the release, but he emphasized the need to focus on future elections. “There are six months until the election. We need to rally and organize for this election,” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Booker added, “Okay, DNC, make it public. You should. But the most important thing is that people go out and vote in record numbers.”

Typically, political autopsies are conducted by the losing side after elections, reminiscent of the Republican National Committee’s analysis following Mitt Romney’s loss in 2012.

Many notable Democratic leaders are advocating for transparency, regardless of the autopsy’s insights. There are conflicting reports about whether the autopsy analyzed the Biden administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict and its effect on progressive voters.

Reports indicate that the findings briefly addressed these concerns, though reactions to the content were described as “outrageous” by some sources. Additionally, rumors have surfaced suggesting that the post-mortem report remains incomplete.

Despite this, key Democrats are publicly calling for the DNC to make the findings accessible to the public.

The DNC has been approached for comments on this matter.

Rahm Emanuel expressed frustration over the situation, stating, “If you can’t bear the after-effects of spending 4 billion and losing… then we’re all third-grade soccer players.”

Representative Ro Khanna also commented on the necessity of addressing past failures, saying, “Only by giving this party a new moral direction can we restore the trust of this country.”
