Neo-Nazi Identifies with Possible Trump Assassin
A neo-Nazi, who might have had online interactions with someone involved in an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, has revealed his identity as Bjorn Leif Djermeld from Norway, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Djermeld confirmed that he reached out to a YouTube account named “Tom Crooks,” linked to an individual who allegedly tried to shoot the president during a 2024 campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. He referenced a text conversation with Crooks—a member of the white supremacist Nordic Resistance Movement, which is designated as a terrorist group by the U.S. Djermeld encouraged Crooks’ violent remarks about overturning the government in a YouTube comment section from 2020.
In one message, using the handle “Willy_Tepes,” Djermeld remarked, “If all you need is a gun and a badge, then authority clearly comes from the muzzle of a gun. We have more guns than they do… There’s no way to avoid war at this point. So you better get used to that idea.”
He mentioned to the Daily Mail that he hadn’t communicated with Crooks on any other platform. Reports indicate that a Secret Service agent narrowly avoided being shot while responding to the situation during the event, where a bullet grazed Trump.
Djermeld speculated about the assassination attempt, suggesting it was part of an American intelligence operation designed to enhance Trump’s public image. He criticized the lack of censorship for those making violent posts while claiming he was silenced by YouTube.
In a statement concerning the ongoing investigation, Trump expressed that he was “very satisfied” with law enforcement’s progress, despite findings showing no additional suspects involved and failing to identify a clear motive.
Djermeld also claimed that he was banned from social media, asserting that this censorship does not detract from the broader recognition of his views: “Happy day and death to Israel!” he declared, showcasing his radical perspective.
