FOX News Presentation Highlights Dominance in Media

On Monday, the prominence of FOX News was showcased during the company’s annual upfront presentation in New York City, aimed at advertisers, media buyers, and journalists alike.

Bret Baier, a prominent anchor at FOX News Channel, emphasized their long-standing position as the top cable news source, claiming that their reach extends beyond traditional cable boundaries. “We’ve been number one for years, but now we’re bigger than that,” he stated.

This upfront event offered a sneak peek into future programming across various FOX platforms, including FOX Sports, FOX Broadcasting, and Tubi. NFL legend Tom Brady, who introduced CEO Lachlan Murdoch, highlighted the network’s strong relationship with viewers as a crucial factor in his decision to join the NFL broadcast team.

Interestingly, FOX News achieved its best-ever year on YouTube, surpassing all news outlets with an astonishing 4.5 billion video views. Baier pointed out the scale of their success, declaring, “This isn’t just competition; we’re dominating.”

During the presentation, Murdoch discussed the importance of targeting their most engaged audience, suggesting that the company has carefully constructed a portfolio that gives them a unique market position. He declared that FOX focuses on key areas such as live sports, live news, and ad-supported streaming without trying to do it all. “It’s how we’ve built our business,” he noted.

Murdoch also emphasized FOX’s strength in live programming and its rapid growth in the ad-supported streaming landscape, affirming, “This combination isn’t by chance. It’s intentional, and it’s working for us, and most importantly, for you.”

Describing Fox as a “market outlier,” Murdoch credited their disciplined strategy for consistently increasing viewership over three consecutive years. He expressed satisfaction with the company’s progress and its leadership, asserting that FOX remains a trusted partner for clients amid ongoing media disruptions.

Record Ratings and Future Plans

Baier and fellow anchor Martha McCallum praised FOX News Media’s achievements, pointing out that the fast-paced nature of news coverage requires them to be present on various platforms—from cable to TikTok. McCallum stressed the need to help viewers make sense of the news, reinforcing why trust in FOX is stronger than ever.

Despite years of leading in cable news, Baier remarked, “We’re now at a completely different scale.” He pointed out that “The Five” has outperformed other major shows like CBS Evening News, while McCallum added that they’re exceeding past expectations.

Highlighting their digital success, Baier revealed that FOX News dominates online news consumption, boasting an average of 143 million unique visitors monthly. “Simply put, more people turn to FoxNews.com for news than anywhere else,” he stated.

As part of their efforts, McCallum noted that this year marked a historic moment for FOX on YouTube with 4.5 billion views, significantly outpacing competitors like CNN and NBC.

Moreover, the success of FOX Business was spotlighted, indicating its performance has surpassed CNBC in crucial metrics, suggesting that major decision-makers are increasingly recognizing FOX’s reach and influence.

Greg Gutfeld, Jessica Tarloff, and Harold Ford Jr. from “The Five” highlighted the show’s appeal, with Ford noting the importance of civil discourse in their discussions. “Sometimes we agree, and sometimes we disagree,” he remarked, pointing to the respectful nature of their exchanges.

Lawrence Jones shared insights on FOX’s plans for America’s 250th anniversary, expressing his connection with communities across the country and the real momentum that brings to their work.

Advertisers also heard from various FOX and FOX Sports stars, adding excitement to the event with their presence, reinforcing FOX’s commitment to engaging and entertaining audiences.
