Fetterman Critiques Democrats’ Hatred of Trump
Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania stirred up discussion when he openly criticized the strong animosity within the Democratic Party towards former President Donald Trump during his guest appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast. FOX News contributor Joe Concha noted that Fetterman’s perspective appears to reflect a common-sense approach, labeling him a maverick within his party.
In a related note, Fetterman acknowledged the recent declaration by a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice claiming he was “no longer registered with any political party,” which seemed to imply a departure from the Democratic Party.
Justice David Wecht, who won his position in 2015 while running as a Democrat, spoke about the Democratic Party’s issues with anti-Semitism. He reflected on his past role as vice chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and noted significant changes over the years. “Jew-hatred is now alarmingly common among Democratic Party activists and leaders,” he stated in a report acquired by Fox News Digital. His remarks included a grim portrayal of the current state of the party concerning issues like Nazi tattoos and other hate-driven symbols.
Wecht shared his frustration further, announcing, “I can’t stand this any longer, so I won’t. I am no longer registered with any political party.” He urged all Pennsylvanians to speak out against the growing hatred towards Jewish people, expressing concern for the present and future of communities.
The judge has been part of the state Supreme Court since 2016 and plans to stay through the upcoming 2025 election.
On another note, Fetterman has previously warned that Democrats risk alienating young male voters and has emphasized the importance of addressing rising anti-Semitism within the party.
FOX News Digital reached out to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party for their stance on these developments.
Fetterman noted that while he knows Wecht and respected his father, he has no intentions of changing his political affiliation but understands Wecht’s decision. He shared his views on social media regarding the situation and acknowledged the need for the party to confront its internal issues. “Democrats must confront the problem of their own rising anti-Semitism,” he added.
