App that tracks UFOs detects thousands of strange underwater objects near US coastlines

Mysterious Underwater Object Sightings Raise Eyebrows

A trending UFO reporting app is generating buzz after documenting thousands of unexplained underwater objects along the US coastline. Experts are intrigued, and it leaves us with more questions than clear answers.

The organization behind this app, Enigma, claims to have “the largest queryable historical sightings database of UFO sightings in the world,” having logged around 30,000 sightings since its inception in 2022, according to its website. What’s notable is that users are shifting their focus from the skies to beneath the waves, searching for potential extraterrestrial life.

Since August, Enigma has recorded over 9,000 sightings of mysterious objects within 10 miles of U.S. coastlines and major water bodies. An unidentified submersible object (USO) is described as any underwater object that is not immediately identifiable.

These objects can be observed using both technical sensors and the naked eye. Eyewitnesses often report USOs moving at remarkable speeds, changing direction quickly, and seemingly transitioning effortlessly between air and water. “What’s really interesting to me is the reports we received. Underwater vessels are detecting ships moving at unusually high speeds underwater,” said Kent Heckenlively, author of “Devastating Revelation: Aliens, Deep State, and the Truth,” in a discussion with FOX News Digital.

“It boils down to one of two possibilities: Either we don’t fully grasp it, or our technology is picking up anomalies in the water.” Among the 9,000 sightings since August 2025, approximately 500 were reported within eight miles of the coast, according to Marine Technology News.

Interestingly, there have been over 150 reports of objects seen either floating above water or entering/exiting it. California and Florida, the two states with the largest coastal populations, have the highest number of USO sightings as indicated on Enigma’s website.

California leads with 389 sightings, while Florida follows with 306. Furthermore, the data reveals clusters of activity focused on specific coastal points, raising concerns among experts and government officials about potential national security implications.

Heckenlively noted, “There seem to be a handful of areas around significant bodies of water that are hotspots for these sightings. It’s logical. The ocean could be the perfect place for something to conceal itself.” This view is echoed by retired Navy Rear Adm. Tim Gallaudet, who previously expressed that certain released Navy footage showcases technologies posing risks to maritime security, which remains largely overlooked due to limited understanding of our oceans.

“The presence of unidentified objects with unexplained characteristics in U.S. waters; the lack of immediate governmental alert suggests there’s a lot we aren’t being told about these phenomena,” Gallaudet stated last year.

One noteworthy video from 2019 displays an unidentified object flying past the USS Omaha and disappearing into the Pacific Ocean without a trace. It is described as having been recorded by pilots, reliable witnesses, and calibrated military instruments, showcasing speed and movement impossible for any known man-made craft.

Among the many sightings compiled, one particularly intriguing instance depicts two underwater objects emitting light, according to Marine Technology News.

Due to years of public skepticism, platforms like Enigma have opted to crowdsource UFO data, which Heckenlively sees as a vital move towards fostering transparency between the U.S. government and a public eager for clarity. “I remain doubtful about alien involvement,” Heckenlively added, “but I genuinely believe the government is being dishonest with us.”

On a topic historically veiled in secrecy, Heckenlively hopes that UFO findings made available by non-governmental organizations will pressure authorities to enhance transparency regarding matters of national security.

“The best way to combat corruption is to expose it to light,” he concluded. “Let’s shed as much light on this as we can and see what emerges.”
