Theo Von speaks out after Joe Rogan shares worries about suicide.

Theo Von has addressed concerns that were raised by Joe Rogan regarding his mental health and any suicidal thoughts he might be experiencing.

Rogan mentioned his worries during an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” pointing out Von’s recent behaviors and comments about suicide, as well as his use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

“This feels like an exaggeration. It’s disheartening to witness this,” Von responded. “I’m actually doing quite well. I have my ups and downs, but I appreciate you checking in.”

Logan, who is a longtime friend and collaborator of Von, expressed that some of the comedian’s remarks since starting on SSRIs are quite concerning.

Rogan highlighted that Von has been open about discussing suicide in the past, including in public forums.

Logan recalled a Netflix recording involving Von that, according to him, “didn’t pan out.” He described a moment during a performance when Von mentioned, “I’m trying not to take my own life.”

Additionally, Rogan pointed out that Von seemed to be preoccupied with discussions about “world events” during a certain period.

Logan also expressed skepticism about the link between chemical imbalances and mental health, questioning the validity of that theory.

He remarked that SSRIs tend to “numb people,” implying that they may not be the best solution for processing emotions.

Throughout their careers in comedy and podcasts, Von and Logan have maintained a strong friendship.

Von has been featured multiple times on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” where he and Rogan often engage in extensive discussions ranging from personal anecdotes to contemporary issues and humor.

Rogan has voiced his concerns about Von’s wellbeing, addressing topics like anxiety and the unique pressures associated with stand-up comedy.
