Online Backlash Against Jennifer Lopez’s “Diva” Behavior

Jennifer Lopez faced criticism online on Wednesday for her perceived “diva” behavior in New York City.

In a viral video, the 56-year-old singer was seen waiting in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel, allowing other guests to pass before her exit so that photographers could get unobstructed shots.

The footage captures Lopez allowing her team and guests, including a parent with a baby, to leave first. Then she paused dramatically by the entrance before finally stepping out.

Once outside, the “On the Floor” singer waved and smiled at the cameras as she entered a waiting vehicle.

Dressed in a stylish belted tan fur jacket paired with a brown midi-length skirt, she complemented her outfit with gold accessories, a clutch, and sunglasses.

As the video circulated, viewers quickly chimed in with their takes, many mocking her composed attitude. One user quipped, “She just stands there like a Marvel villain 😂😂😂.”

Others also chimed in, suggesting she should just walk to her car, with one saying, “These people are so out of touch with reality.” Another criticized her demeanor with, “The earth could split in two and swallow you as fast as anyone else 😆 Get the F off that high horse! SMH 🤭”

Yet, not everyone was critical. Some fans defended her, pointing out that being a paparazzi is a real profession and, at least, she took time to acknowledge them. “People really need to stop being hateful,” one person remarked.

Another commenter noted that “divas always wait for the runway to clear before entering,” voicing support for Lopez’s choice to command the moment.
