TikTok star Gabbie Gonzalez taken into custody following scheme to harm boyband member

Gabby Gonzalez, a TikTok influencer, has been arrested on charges of plotting to murder her daughter’s father, Jack Avery, who was formerly part of the band Why Don’t We.

Gonzalez, aged 24, was taken into custody by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office on May 18. She was subsequently moved to the Los Angeles County Jail and is facing felony charges, according to inmate records examined by the California Post.

Currently, she is held without bail and appeared in Los Angeles County Superior Court on May 19.

Reports indicate Gonzalez is implicated in a murder conspiracy, and her father, Francisco Gonzalez, has also been arrested in Florida in connection with the allegations.

Details suggest that the alleged plot arose from a bitter custody dispute regarding their 7-year-old daughter, Lavender. Sources indicate that Francisco was deeply involved in the conflict, with one witness claiming he once remarked, “It would be cheaper if Jack died.”

It seems Gabby was apprehended last week at a Humboldt County airport, just as she was about to board a flight, before being moved to the Los Angeles facility.

Authorities believe the conspiracy dates back to 2021, involving attempts to track Avery while he was in Hawaii. Investigators suggest members of the Gonzalez family were collecting damaging photographs or videos of him to use in legal proceedings.

One of the messages reviewed in the investigation featured Francisco stating, “Call Barça…It’s never too early,” a line thought to reference Dustin Barça.

Allegations further assert that Gabby and her associate Kai Corddry sought to recruit Barça to intimidate Avery.

There are reports indicating that Gabby’s father sent $10,000 to Corddry in April 2021, masked as a payment for web development services. However, Corddry later claimed this explanation was false, asserting no such services were rendered.

Using information from Corddry, federal agents apparently posed as a hitman and engaged in a phone conversation with Francisco, wherein they discussed targets and payment.

This investigation appears to have been ongoing for some time. Avery previously shared that FBI agents had visited him, alerting him to a death threat against Gabby, although he did not identify her at that time, still praising her parenting skills.

On social media, Gabby has amassed a significant following, sharing lifestyle content, travel experiences, and snippets of motherhood.
