Travis Kelsey Says He and Taylor Swift Never Argue
Travis Kelce has secured a one-year deal to continue his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, marking his 14th season in the NFL. But lately, much of the buzz around him seems more tied to his relationship with Taylor Swift than to football or even their future wedding plans.
Swift’s ties to football run deep. The 14-time Grammy winner has mentioned that her dad, Scott Swift, is friends with Chiefs coach Andy Reid. Since getting together with Kelce, she’s often been spotted in his high-end suite at games.
Recently, Kelce shared some insights from a podcast episode he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, where he revealed some amusing comments from Swift about the famed Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Jerome Bettis.
During the podcast, Travis recalled how Swift pointed out that Bettis “looks like an offensive lineman running with the football.” This came up when they discussed Bettis’ upcoming golf tournament.
Travis reminisced about an unexpected dinner with Bettis, saying, “He’s just the greatest guy ever. I ran into him and told Tay, ‘That guy was a beast.'”
In fact, he showed Swift a highlight reel of Bettis, reminiscing about the running back’s impressive career from 1993 to 2005.
Kelce also noted, “I showed her the highlights, and she wondered, ‘Why does he look like an offensive lineman running with the football?’ Because he was ‘The Bus,'” he chuckled.
Bettis, a six-time Pro Bowler, played most of his career at over 250 pounds, really earning that nickname, “The Bus.” He started his career with the Rams as a first-round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft, later achieving great success with the Steelers, even winning Super Bowl XL.
