Jalen Brunson Celebrates Knicks’ Victory with Star Actress
Jalen Brunson expressed his admiration for his favorite actress following a stellar performance in the fourth quarter. In the Knicks’ 109-93 victory over the Cavaliers in Game 2, Brunson stepped up once again, scoring significant points late in the game.
As captured in a video shared by director Ben Stiller, Brunson dashed over to Mariska Hargitay, famed for her role in Law & Order: SVU, who greeted him with an enthusiastic hug to acknowledge his game-changing effort.
The two developed a friendship back in 2024, and their joyful embrace after the game quickly made its round on social media.
Brunson had also attended the premiere of Hargitay’s documentary “My Mama Jane.” In a gesture of goodwill, Hargitay congratulated Brunson on his selection as a 2025 NBA All-Star, saying, “Congratulations to Jalen, from captain to captain. I can’t wait to see you work your magic in San Francisco.”
Brunson couldn’t hide his excitement, responding, “Yes, that’s my favorite person. That person is my favorite person ever.”
This affection for Hargitay is well-known, especially among fans. Stiller commented on Brunson’s admiration during the “Roommates” podcast, joking that Hargitay’s post-game hugs evoke envy among other Knicks fans.
Brunson’s interactions with other Law & Order cast members have been noted as well. A video from last year showing him and Hargitay hugging went viral while they were together.
In a recent photo, Hargitay was joined by her husband, Peter Herman, and their son, August, alongside Brunson.
He has been spotted sharing hugs with various celebrities like Francisco Lindor and Jimmy Fallon, showcasing his widespread appeal.
With the Knicks on a solid streak, now sitting at 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals, Brunson is certain to attract even more fans as they progress in the playoffs.
After a tough first-round loss to the Hawks, the Knicks have since won nine consecutive playoff games and now face the Cavaliers in Game 3, where they’re considered underdogs by oddsmakers.
