Reactions to the Death of Kyle Busch
Condolences and reactions are flooding in following the tragic passing of NASCAR champion Kyle Busch. This heartbreaking news has even reached the White House.
On Friday, just a day after the announcement of Busch’s death at the age of 41, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to express his sympathies.
“Legendary NASCAR driver Kyle Busch tragically and unexpectedly passed away yesterday,” the president shared. “He was a true talent who loved NASCAR and its fans. Kyle was a winner! He was a two-time Cup champion and holds the record for wins in NASCAR’s top three series, and just last weekend he won another.”
He added, “Kyle’s wife Samantha and their two beautiful children are in our thoughts and prayers. Samantha was at the White House in October for IVF. She loved Kyle so much! Rest in peace, Kyle Busch. You will always be a legend!”
Kyle Busch: A Brief Overview
As mentioned by Trump, Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha, have been advocates for in vitro fertilization, establishing the Samantha and Kyle Bush Bundle of Joy Foundation in 2015. This foundation has granted over 150 awards, amounting to more than $2 million.
Busch’s connection to the White House includes a visit to meet former President Barack Obama in 2016, where he received congratulations for his 2015 NASCAR Cup Series victory.
Before his untimely death, Busch achieved his last win in NASCAR’s top three series just days earlier, during a Truck Series race at Dover International Speedway.
Reports indicate that on Wednesday, Busch collapsed while testing in a racing simulator and was subsequently hospitalized. It was announced Thursday that he would not be competing in the upcoming races, including the Coca-Cola 600, due to a “serious illness.” Sadly, just hours later, the news of his death broke.
