Spencer Pratt Confronts Hecklers During Live Stream

Spencer Pratt, known for his stint on reality TV and his recent bid for the L.A. mayoral candidacy, found himself in an unexpected confrontation with hecklers on a street while livestreaming. The encounter unfolded near a subway station, where a group began to challenge him verbally.

One woman boldly asked, “What qualifies you to be mayor when you literally have no experience?” Pratt, dressed in a suit and sunglasses, turned the tables on her with a pointed question aimed at his opponent, City Council member Nitya Raman, who, according to polling data, is also competing to unseat incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

He shot back, “What is your experience, Congressman Raman? Having drug addicts next to kids at school?” This remark referenced Raman’s previous comments that had raised eyebrows regarding homeless encampments near schools.

In fact, as Pratt continued to livestream, he claimed the heckler’s support for having such encampments near educational institutions was troubling. He expressed, “My experience shows that mothers are safe again. They’re putting drug addicts in front of kids at school.”

Although the heckler tried to interrupt, insisting on his lack of experience, Pratt stood firm. “I have the experience to stop it,” he declared, adding a curt “Have a nice day” before moving on. Despite further taunts from passersby, Pratt maintained his focus on the stream, remarking on the chaotic atmosphere, “It’s a scary world. These people are fighting for drug addicts to be near kids in the park. That’s crazy.”

As the campaign season nears its climax, the race for mayor appears tight, with three leading candidates in close proximity according to recent polls. Pratt, who holds a political science degree from USC, may not have traditional political experience, but his unconventional ads and strategies have drawn attention from both sides of the political aisle, positioning him as a notable outsider in this election cycle.
