Kelly Clarkson Reflects on the End of Her Talk Show

In a heartfelt discussion, Kelly Clarkson became emotional while talking about the conclusion of her talk show during an interview with actress Rita Wilson.

“Before I go,” Wilson, known for her role in “Jungle All the Way,” expressed to Clarkson on Wednesday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” “I want to thank you for being part of our show over the years. You’ve really changed the landscape of daytime TV.”

Wilson, 69, commended Clarkson, 44, for her passion for music and for infusing so much music into daytime programming. “You’ve shared your voice, your talent, and your incredible band with us,” she continued. “I genuinely appreciate it because you’ve made a significant impact on my life. Thank you, Kelly.”

Clarkson, visibly touched, responded, “I’m not crying; I’m really happy about that.” The audience erupted in cheers as she added, “I’m so glad.” She embraced Wilson warmly, and they exchanged “I love yous.”

After sitting down again, Clarkson playfully looked into the camera, saying, “Stop it,” as tears welled in her eyes.

The singer confirmed her daytime talk show would conclude after seven seasons in February. Clarkson had previously taken to Instagram to acknowledge the support from fans since its launch in 2019. She mentioned that it wasn’t an easy decision, explaining that she was “stepping back” to prioritize her children, River, 12, and Remington, 10, from her former marriage to Brandon Blackstock.

“I’ll keep making music and performing, and you might catch me on ‘The Voice’ occasionally… I’m not exactly sure where I’ll pop up next,” she remarked.

In fact, NBC recently announced Clarkson’s return as a coach for season 30 of “The Voice.” She had previously participated in seasons 14 through 21 and also served as a judge in seasons 23 and 29.
