Investigators to begin new inquiry into 'Soulmate' sailboat where Lynette Hooker and her husband resided before her disappearance

New Investigation Launched into Missing Mother Lynette Hooker

Authorities are reopening the investigation into the sailboat Soulmate, where Lynette Hooker and her husband Brian lived before they vanished in the Bahamas.

Investigators are searching the yacht for evidence related to this puzzling case, as reported by Fox News Digital.

This Michigan couple had lived on their sailboat, journeying around the globe. Their latest trip to the Bahamas turned tragic.

Lynette, 55, fell into the water while they were returning to Soulmate in a dinghy.

Brian Hooker, 59, insists he hasn’t done anything wrong. He hasn’t been charged but is still seen as a person of interest in her disappearance.

The yacht has been taken by law enforcement from the Bahamas and moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, and subsequently to Fort Lauderdale.

The next step involves removing the boat from the water and bringing it to a warehouse for a thorough examination, as stated by U.S. officials.

Nicole Parker, a former FBI special agent, mentioned that any electronic devices, including computer systems, will be extracted for further analysis.

The investigation is ramping up as U.S. dive teams are set to explore new sections of the Sea of Abaco. This follows GPS data from Brian Hooker’s phone that appears to conflict with his account to the police.

Although he was taken into custody initially, he has since been released.

Carly Aylesworth, Lynette’s daughter, has previously urged detectives to look into Brian, who isn’t her biological father. She expressed her concerns in a statement to Fox News Digital, saying, “There are issues that have been brought to my attention that may be important to a thorough investigation. If this was indeed an accident, I understand and can live with it.”

As of now, Brian Hooker’s attorney has not responded to requests for comments.
