Hasan Piker claims the UK has blocked him and criticizes the remarkable influence of pro-Israel organizations.

Hasan Piker, a notable Marxist political influencer, has faced a series of setbacks recently.

Firstly, reports indicate that the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has issued a subpoena to Piker. This demands financial and communication records related to his trip to Cuba in March. The investigation is examining whether he breached U.S. sanctions against the regime governing the island.

Then, at a protest outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Newark, New Jersey, Piker was heckled. Someone called him a “fraud” and a “dog abuser,” telling him to “get back to your desktop.” Piker has denied allegations of using a shock collar to train his dog, Kaya.

Now, during a Twitch livestream, Piker expressed that he couldn’t make a planned trip to the UK, including events at SXSW London and the Oxford Union, because his Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) was denied by British authorities.

“I’ve been banned from the UK,” he shared with his followers, noting that he has been there numerous times before, and claimed that the complaints about him are not new.

While Fox News Digital could not verify Piker’s statements, such a decision from the UK could signify a shift in how Western governments manage the importation of extremist ideas that might incite unrest and violence.

Piker stated that he was denied entry due to accusations of anti-Semitism, which he refuted, and he criticized Jewish organizations that opposed his visit for having too much influence on British policy.

He commented, “If you are openly anti-Zionist, your travel will be restricted.” Piker claimed that pro-Israel advocacy groups have a substantial impact on government actions and policies.

His remarks followed recent calls from British Jewish groups urging the government to prevent his entry, citing worries over his statements and affiliations with extremist factions. Piker has previously made controversial comments, one suggesting that the U.S. deserved the 9/11 attacks due to its foreign policy.

Even Labor MP David Taylor urged the Home Office to cancel Piker’s visa, referencing his inflammatory remarks as concerning for the Jewish community in the UK.

Throughout his livestream, Piker expressed disbelief and frustration. He argued the lines between criticizing Israel and anti-Semitism are becoming blurred, denying any hateful intent and asserting that political dissent is increasingly being curtailed across Western democracies.

“This is just fascism,” he declared, arguing that voicing criticism of Israel shouldn’t warrant a ban from the country.

Piker had planned a week-long trip involving appearances, including one with former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis, whom he believes is linked to his controversial trip to Cuba. There has been scrutiny regarding the involvement of organizations connected to Piker in various activist initiatives.

The British government has not commented on the situation, but recently, Interior Minister Shabana Mahmoud denied a travel permit to Piker’s uncle, concluding it was “not in the public interest.”

Piker warned that this precedent could lead to similar restrictions from other Western nations, including Australia and Canada. He admitted he was surprised by the UK’s decision and emphasized that they were entering a new phase.

He mentioned that he and his team were contemplating applying for a standard visa despite the rejection of his ETA, although it might be a complex process.

The inquiry into Piker also relates to a broader investigation into transnational activist networks in the U.S. This includes potential scrutiny over American figures like Neville Roy Singham, who has supported various socialist organizations with questionable activities linked to anti-Israel sentiment.

Critics believe the rhetoric used in some of these protests has fostered a negative environment for Jews, leading to increased anti-Semitism both in Britain and the United States. As protests continue, Piker has maintained his support for certain activist groups.

As debates rage on, especially in Europe concerning connections between far-left activists and Islamist groups, Piker finished his podcast feeling resolute yet frustrated, reiterating that he had been expelled from England before signing off.
