Dale Jr shares touching last message from Kyle Busch, NASCAR celebrates a victory and driver hints at payback

NASCAR’s Exciting Finish in Nashville

What a race! The conclusion in Nashville was something else. Sure, it took place around midnight, and many of us were either stuck at home or just getting out, but hey, it’s Nashville. Typically, the best moments don’t happen until after midnight anyway.

NASCAR really needed this—on that Sunday night, as night fell, the race resumed with just four contenders left. Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and Chase Briscoe all fought tirelessly to the finish line, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. narrating the entire event. In a touching moment, Denny Hamlin paid tribute to the late Kyle Busch, one of the sport’s enduring legends still active in the garage.

After a rough ten days, NASCAR finally secured a win in Nashville. There’s certainly more to address, and today, it seems we’ll focus on Kyle Busch, given the new updates since we last connected.

We’ll also discuss Dale Jr.’s final talk with Busch, which sent shockwaves through the sports community, plus touch on how Austin Dillon intentionally took out Brad Keselowski during the race.

It’s hard to say if the video clearly captures everything—perhaps you’ll understand what I mean. Let’s work through it together.

Four tires, a tank full enough to get to Michigan, maybe even a cold beer for Brad and Austin as they drive away… Monday Morning Pit Stops – “NASCAR Wins at Last” Edition – let’s get into it!

Denny Hamlin’s Much-Needed Victory

As I mentioned earlier, NASCAR really needed this moment. After some tough times, last night felt like a reset. Kyle Busch’s death has cast a long shadow over the sport, and the gloomy atmosphere has lingered.

There were actual clouds hanging over the races. Last weekend’s Cork 600 was exhausting from start to finish. The weather played a role, but qualifying enough miles to classify it as a race was just brutal.

This weekend in Nashville didn’t start off well either. There was a lot of rain. More rain. And, you guessed it, even more rain. This can be typical during those warmer months; it’s been consistently stormy.

But last night finally brought some relief to a battered racing series looking to rise from this dark time.

Kyle Busch’s Death Certificate Released

For those who aren’t keeping tabs on the racing scene, Denny initially was the pole sitter for, well, about ten seconds before diving into the race, only to be pulled back by officials. How does that even work? Are pole sitters not supposed to have control over that? It’s new to me.

Nevertheless, he spent the first half of the race near the back but made his way to the front as the race progressed. By the end, he had clearly established himself as the winning car. It was quite a sight to see all three teammates from Joe Gibbs Racing vying for victory on the last lap.

Then, Denny gave us Kyle Busch’s iconic bow. I wonder, will that gesture lose its significance if it becomes a regular thing? But I must say, Denny Hamlin certainly can pull it off, and, really, it’s not my place to judge.

As for Kyle, I won’t dwell on this every week, but I must mention him briefly before Nashville comes back into focus. His death certificate was released recently—it feels strange to talk about, but it brings to light some of his last moments.

Assessing the Events Leading to Busch’s Death

This whole situation is tragic. It’s a rough way to put it, but it really is a perfect storm of unfortunate events. Officials described his death as a “chain of events.” He had been battling severe bacterial pneumonia for days, but then complications set in.

He developed sepsis and tragically passed away. It’s been known that he wasn’t well leading up to his death, even requiring attention after a race not long before.

Fans have uncovered clips from that weekend, and honestly, they’re tough to watch. Things are pretty hard right now, but Denny’s victory—and the show it put on—meant a lot.

One more thing I want to touch on before wrapping up: Dale Jr., now thriving in the booth, had spoken with Kyle just a few days before his passing. They had exciting plans for the fans.

“What plan are you going to do?” Kyle had asked. I told him he could choose whatever plan he wanted. He mentioned the possibility of doing ‘Dale Jr. 8,’ and it seems they were eager to work together.

Now, rewinding for a moment, it’s something pretty incredible to think about, especially looking back at their rocky history. Who would have imagined them collaborating like this 15 years ago?

The Ins and Outs of the Race

Quickly, circling back to last night’s race, did Austin Dillon really mean to hit Brad Keselowski? My gut says that while we didn’t hear from Dillon about it, he likely won’t admit to intentionally crashing Brad.

Brad, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to share that view and has made light of the situation, hinting at deserved payback.

I appreciate his approach. In racing, sometimes revenge feels necessary, much like we need oxygen. Go for it, Brad!

I’m with the Junior side on this one—Austin likely didn’t mean to take Brad out. If anything, he probably should’ve aimed his frustration at Chris Buescher instead.

Regardless of the driving dynamics, it’s a win for fans, too!

That’s all for today. Looking forward to Michigan. Here’s hoping for a solid weekend for NASCAR. They really need it.
