Anunoby Gifts Shoes to Martha Stewart
OG Anunoby, a forward for the Knicks, surprised Martha Stewart, the Emmy Award-winning host, by gifting her a pair of his signed shoes after she showcased them on Instagram.
The shoes, which were size 15.5, featured “a very nice message,” according to Stewart’s Instagram post.
This playful interaction began when Stewart commented on Anunoby’s shoes during a game at Madison Square Garden, expressing her enthusiasm by saying, “OG Anunoby is wearing my favorite Skechers while playing for the Knicks tonight at the Garden!!!!!”
Stewart later shared on Instagram, “A few days ago I posted a photo of OG Anunoby’s Skechers. Today I received this pair, autographed with a very nice message!!!!! Size 15 1/2!!!! Thank you OG. Good luck to you and my favorite team!!!!!!”
Anunoby responded with appreciation, saying, “Martha, I’m glad you like them.”
During the NBA Finals, Stewart has been spotted at several Knicks playoff games, including Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers.
Interestingly, Stewart has quite a past; she was convicted of five felonies related to the ImClone stock trading scandal and spent five months in federal prison for fraud before returning to her career post-release. In 2015, she resumed her role as chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, which had been sold for $175 million to Sequential Brands Group.
From what I’ve read, Stewart is set to become the oldest woman to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2023 at age 81.
Anunoby has been performing well during the playoffs, averaging 19.7 points and 6.9 rebounds across 12 games. His postseason stats show an improvement compared to the regular season, where he averaged 16.7 points and 5.2 rebounds.
It’s worth mentioning that Anunoby faced some challenges with a hamstring injury in Game 2, missing parts of the series against the 76ers, which had also sidelined him for nine regular-season games.
The Knicks are preparing for Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs this Wednesday night. Anunoby has notably averaged 16.3 points per game against the Spurs this season, peaking at 28 points in December, along with averages of 6.3 rebounds and 2 assists.
