Heroic Rescue During Carnival Cruise

A passenger from Carnival Cruise Line is being celebrated after diving into the water to save an elderly man who had fallen off a pier during a recent stop in Mexico.

This dramatic event took place on May 19, while the Carnival Jubilee was docked in Costa Rica.

The cruise line confirmed that the elderly individual ended up in the water while attempting to return to the ship. Their security team quickly responded, successfully bringing the guest back and taking him to the ship’s medical center for care.

Footage of the rescue circulated widely on social media, showing a man, known only as Myron, kicking off his shoes and leaping into the water after noticing someone struggling near the ship.

Myron’s wife, Amy, shared on social media that the older man was face down in the water when her husband jumped in. She mentioned that Myron managed to keep the man afloat until help got there.

“My husband didn’t hesitate for a moment,” she recounted in a TikTok post about the incident.

Amy stated that he picked up the older man, securing him on his shoulders until rescuers arrived to pull them from the water.
