FBI Teams Up with UFC for Unique Training Event
As Washington gears up for a sporting event like no other on the White House grounds, the FBI is adopting a more dynamic approach, reminiscent of UFC training.
Recently, FBI Director Kash Patel announced that around 300 federal agents engaged in hand-to-hand combat training thanks to a partnership with the UFC in preparation for UFC Freedom 250. “Because of our excellent collaboration with @ufc, we’ve seen nearly 300 agents acquire incredible skills to safeguard American lives,” Patel shared on X, posting clips from the training activities.
FBI’s Collaboration with UFC
The FBI’s Rapid Response Team appeared enthusiastic about the partnership, remarking in a video that “the world’s greatest fighter meets the world’s greatest cop!” It seems this kind of connection may only be possible if the FBI Director has UFC President Dana White on speed dial.
UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje also made an appearance in the training video. Earlier this year, he helped train FBI agents at the Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Recently, footage showed Gaethje utilizing FBI headquarters as part of his preparation for his upcoming lightweight title fight against Ilya Topuria at UFC Freedom 250.
Interestingly, fighters are expected to use the Eisenhower Executive Office Building as their locker room before heading to a sizable octagonal structure dubbed “The Crow” on the South Lawn.
Adding to the excitement, adrenaline enthusiast Travis Pastrana plans a surprise stunt to kick off the main card broadcast—a dirt bike backflip over the South Lawn. It’s quite the scene, considering that a few years ago, the idea of federal agents training alongside UFC fighters and hosting an event at the White House would have seemed absurd.
This is certainly shaping up to be the hottest ticket of the weekend.
