Taylor Swift Shines at Madison Square Garden During NBA Finals
Taylor Swift brought an electrifying atmosphere to Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner cheered on the Knicks as they faced the Spurs, sharing Celebrity Row with her close friends and fellow musicians Este and Alana Haim. During the first quarter, she was animatedly featured on the venue’s giant screen, performing her song “The Fate of Ophelia.”
“Let’s go!” Swift shouted enthusiastically, sporting a blue and orange T-shirt featuring “Stevie Nicks” while playfully pointing at actress Mariska Hargitay, who was seated next to her.
Swift certainly energized the MSG crowd, receiving an enthusiastic reception. In a related note, she and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, reportedly forked out around $3 million to reserve the iconic arena for their wedding planned on July 3.
Alongside the Haim sisters, Swift was seen enjoying the game, wearing matching shirts that playfully referenced “Nickelback” and “Nickel Kidman.” Hargitay made a memorable appearance on the videoboard and has a history with Swift—she featured in Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood” back in 2015. Additionally, she shares a friendship with Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
Sources revealed earlier that day that Swift has an undeniable loyalty to her home team. “She’s a huge Knicks fan and really wants to support them. She’s going with some friends,” a source had shared.
Swift’s connection to New York is strong.
Having performed “Welcome to New York,” she has owned several properties in the city since 2014. That same year, a photo surfaced of Swift in a Knicks jersey alongside former stars Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, which sent fans into a frenzy.
Swift made her appearance at Game 4 right after attending the premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles the previous day.
She co-wrote the song “I Knew It, I Knew You” with Jack Antonoff, which will play over the credits of the upcoming animated movie, set to premiere on June 19.
