Training Partnership Between FBI and UFC for Freedom 250 Event
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has teamed up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to train 300 federal agents in hand-to-hand combat ahead of the upcoming UFC Freedom 250.
Just a few days before the highly anticipated UFC event on the South Lawn of the White House—celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. National Team—FBI Director Kash Patel shared a video showcasing agents undergoing UFC-style training.
“Thanks to our great partnership with the UFC, we’ve seen nearly 300 agents learn great tactics to protect American lives,” Patel stated.
“Having the best athletes in the world and the best law enforcement in the world is a great combination,” he added.
Alongside this, the upcoming weekend event also coincides with the 249th anniversary of Flag Day, which honors the adoption of the American flag, and marks the 80th birthday of former President Donald Trump.
The Octagon has already been erected on the South Lawn, prominently displayed beneath a large structure known as “The Crow.”
During this seven-event series, fighters plan to utilize the Eisenhower Administration Building as a locker room.
This week, UFC also revealed new costume designs for the Octagon Girls, featuring patriotic elements inspired by the American flag. They are slated to make an appearance at the ceremonial weigh-in on Saturday at the nearby Ellipse park.
This weekend’s activities are part of a larger series commemorating the semi-quincentenary. Freedom 250 has also organized the 16-day Great American State Fair, scheduled to take place on the National Mall later this month.
