FBI Director Addresses Funding for Protests
FBI Director Kash Patel has indicated that his team is actively investigating the sources of funding behind agitators outside Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.
Speaking with news nation, Patel confirmed that measures are in place to ensure that those who disrupt police operations face justice.
He elaborated that in order to hold lawbreakers accountable, the FBI will need to trace funds, issue subpoenas, obtain search warrants, and present evidence in court.
“We have a lot more going on. We can’t talk about it until we talk through the prosecution,” Patel commented.
Todd Blanche, who joined Patel on “Katie Pavlich Tonight,” defended federal authorities against negative media coverage, asserting that they are “fighting every day to get to the bottom of this funding, who’s doing it, and how it’s organized.”
“These are not peaceful protesters,” Blanche noted. “They’re a violent mob. They don’t even know what they’re fighting. They’re just cursing and screaming and threatening to kill federal agents.”
In related news, President Donald Trump announced earlier this week his intention to nominate Blanche for the position of attorney general. Blanche, 51, has been serving as the acting attorney general since Pam Bondi was dismissed in April.
