Army Releases Third Set of UAP Documents
The Department of the Army unveiled a new batch of documents and videos on Friday, focusing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), with several recent “orb” sightings reported over the northeastern United States.
This latest release features six pages of declassified files available for public review. One notable aspect of this batch is the multiple encounters with “orbs” documented in the Northeast during the past two years.
One piece of video, captured by a witness in July 2025, shows two lights or spheres moving together in the sky. This witness, along with their spouse, had just returned home from work when they observed the lights. The War Department’s explanation, based on reports made to the FBI, suggested the observation of the first orb followed by the second.
On that July evening, around 21:00 local time, as the witness parked their car, they noticed an intense bright light in their backyard. It hovered about 25 feet off the ground, just below the treeline, and was estimated to be around 90 feet away. After stepping out of the car briefly, the witness pulled out their cell phone to record the event. The spouse soon joined outside and also saw the light, describing it as a “bright red sphere” roughly 1 meter in diameter. The center of this red orb appeared like a white plasma “sun,” comparable in size to a basketball. Both witnesses noted that the sphere slowly rose and drifted to the left, while a second identical sphere floated nearby.
The witness recorded the scene using an iPhone 14 Pro Max, capturing the footage showing the spheres moving in sync toward the west above the treetops. They reported that the motion was smooth and quiet, almost like the orbs were flying in formation.
At one point, the orbs seemed to come together.
Once the spheres disappeared from view, the witnesses claimed that they appeared to merge before completely vanishing, estimating that this happened about 75 yards away from their location.
This sighting occurred near another area that has seen frequent orb reports. Additionally, another video entitled “Orbs Over the Pond,” recorded a few months earlier in October 2024, was part of this release.
In October, around 1851 local time in the northeastern United States, witnesses saw a light source floating above a pond at an estimated distance of 2,700 feet. This luminous object appeared to be a “plasma-like sphere,” fluctuating in shape and brightness. At times, it seemed to break apart into smaller glowing spots. One of these points hovered above the water’s surface, inconsistent with surface reflections. The object remained stationary for about 45 minutes before disappearing, and observers noted that it was completely silent. The video was filmed using an iPhone by a civilian and has been confirmed by the U.S. government without any editing changes aside from privacy protections.
Earlier in March 2022, video footage captured two red light sources in sparsely populated regions, following previous UAP sightings that occurred in November 2021.
