Jordyn Woods delivers the Knicks’ unofficial lucky charm for Game 5

Jordyn Woods delivers the Knicks' unofficial lucky charm for Game 5

Knicks Eye First Title in 53 Years

The Knicks are going to need their best performance yet to clinch the NBA Finals and secure their first championship in over half a century.

They might also need a bit of luck—like the kind that comes from a specific bag carried by Jordyn Woods, who is engaged to Karl-Anthony Towns and runs the Woods fashion brand.

Woods managed to keep this orange bag, which she considers a good luck charm, with her throughout the Knicks’ impressive 13-0 playoff run, until they faced a setback and lost Game 3 of the Finals to the Spurs.

Interestingly, she wasn’t permitted access to the arena for Game 3 due to some attendance rules set by President Trump, which meant she had to miss out. However, she brought the bag back for a crucial win in Game 4.

So, the question on everyone’s mind was whether she had the bag in San Antonio for Game 5.

Of course, she did.

Woods was spotted courtside before what could be a pivotal Game 5, decked out in a Knicks jacket and sporting that lucky bag. She even cheered, “Let’s go to the Knicks!”

Interestingly, her bags have gained popularity during the playoffs. She’s leaning into this trend, with plans to introduce a new style, the “Tuck Scratch Mini,” this week.

In a recent interview, Woods mentioned the attention she’s receiving is “amazing,” but also acknowledges the pressure that comes with it. She said, “It’s great that my orange bag is getting so much attention because it’s my brand, but it also feels like a lot of pressure.” She reflected on the fact she had won every game except for the one she couldn’t attend with her bag. “I mean, three major articles were written about my lucky bag. That’s quite a lot of pressure!”

Before the third game, she even released shoes that matched the bag, as a fun way to enhance that New York vibe.

Now, Woods’ undefeated streak is set to face its biggest test on Saturday night at Frostbank Center in San Antonio, with the potential for a Game 6 back at the Garden on Tuesday.
