Victor Wembanyama reportedly had a Knicks fan removed from the $20,000 Ritz-Carlton penthouse he reserved next to his.

A man facing charges for conspiracy theories reported that he was escorted from a lavish penthouse suite at the Ritz-Carlton by what he described as “aliens” right before the New York Knicks’ significant Game 4 win in the NBA Finals.

Phil Godlewski, a Pennsylvania resident known for his online presence discussing topics like numerology and politics, accused the San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama of orchestrating the ejection of him and his group from a suite that cost $20,000.

Godlewski stated he spent around $750,000 on tickets for Wednesday’s game and had booked one of two penthouse suites on the Ritz-Carlton’s 41st floor.

Accompanying him were his two sons aged 11 and 9, along with a friend, Ron Pavaronis, and his son. Godlewski was unaware that Wembanyama was staying in a different suite within the penthouse.

Pavaronis recounted seeing Wembanyama leave his suite, possibly heading to Madison Square Garden, when he entered the room at around 5 p.m. to greet the Spurs star.

Godlewski recalled Pavaronis saying just five words: “Good luck tonight, man.”

However, shortly after, a hotel manager knocked on their door and told them they needed to leave.

Godlewski was initially confused and asked why, to which she replied that they had been accused of harassing and waiting for the players.

Godlewski insisted they hadn’t done anything wrong and urged the manager to check security footage, but she claimed there were no cameras on that floor.

He contested this, noting a camera situated directly above her head. He recorded the entire interaction and said he was consulting with an attorney.

While he understood the hotel had reasons for their actions, he found it strange they hadn’t blocked off the building for the Spurs after a fan was attacked following Game 3, where Wembanyama had a controversial moment with Jalen Brunson.

“They didn’t even restrict access, yet they put us on the same level as Victor Wembanyama. Isn’t that a bit risky?” he expressed.

He hadn’t been informed at check-in that Wembanyama would be on the same floor or that he shouldn’t engage with him.

“If we had been told not to talk to the players, we would have complied without complaint,” he added.

Both the Ritz-Carlton and Wembanyama’s representatives have not yet commented on the incident.

Godlewski admitted to his connections with QAnon, calling recent accusations against him defamatory.

He ultimately booked a stay at Trump International for $3,000 instead.

The situation left a mark, particularly on his family. His 11-year-old, once a fan of Wembanyama, felt betrayed and suggested burning a signed jersey that had been framed at their home after the incident.

“We already burned a $3,500 jersey,” he noted.

Godlewski stated he hopes for an apology from Wembanyama and took the Spurs’ loss in Game 4 as a sign of “instant karma.”

“What you think about, you bring about,” he commented, reflecting on the night’s events.
