Kidnapping and Torture at Florida Resort
Authorities have reported that six men allegedly kidnapped and tortured two individuals at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida. This disturbing incident unfolded on the night of May 29, according to recently disclosed court documents. One of the suspects is said to have “pressured” the victims to attend a car show in a secluded part of Broward County.
The suspects—Saul Alfonso Fajardo, 19; Justin Fijoan Le, 20; Amari Tamire Hill, 21; Anthony Teruel Hernandez, 18; Mariekevies McNichols Jr., 19; and Wilen Hernandez, 20—are charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to kidnap. The identities of the victims remain confidential.
According to court records, the victims initially met “Saul” and a female suspect in a parking lot of the resort. Shortly after their arrival, they were allegedly forced at gunpoint into two separate vehicles. The situation escalated when Hill reportedly slammed one victim into a car, compelling her into the passenger seat. Fijoan is alleged to have threatened, “If you try to leave, I will end your life,” leaving the victim in genuine fear for her safety.
During the ordeal, one victim was coerced into providing money to survive and forced to contact a friend to arrange this. Fijoan allegedly warned him that he would mutilate him if the funds weren’t delivered on time.
The FBI uncovered that all suspects were armed and donned masks and gloves during the crime, which added an unsettling layer to an already threatening situation. As the victims were taken to a location known as the West Broward boat ramp, they endured even more terror. They were reportedly forced to kneel at gunpoint, with their personal belongings stolen, including phones and jewelry. At one point, one victim was compelled to transfer $400 through Zelle.
Threats continued as Fijoan allegedly declared, “I’m going to burn your tattoo. You don’t deserve it. I’m going to torture you.” Desperate to escape, one victim even pretended to have a seizure at one point, fearing for his life as he witnessed the suspects burning items at the scene.
Authorities later found burnt clothing and surveillance footage at the boat dock, shedding light on the chaos that unfolded. Text messages between a female suspect and Fajardo indicated that one victim had sustained injuries during the attack.
This harrowing case highlights ongoing issues of violence and intimidation in the community, a stark reminder of the need for vigilance in ensuring personal safety.
