Vice President JD Vance’s Appearance on “The View”
Vice President JD Vance made a notable appearance on The View, showcasing a blend of confidence and assertiveness that quickly set the stage for the discussion.
During his appearance, he defended the achievements of the Trump administration against a panel of six co-hosts, notably including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Ana Navarro.
Vance was there to promote his new memoir, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith, which released on the same day. Throughout the conversation, he redirected attention to the administration’s successful economic and security initiatives.
He underscored the significant surge in domestic capital investment that occurred during President Donald Trump’s second term, highlighting the growth in American construction and manufacturing jobs.
When the topic of inflation arose, Vance countered critics by reminding the audience that the current administration is tackling an affordability crisis that was inherited from the previous Biden administration.
“What @POTUS said is the idea that Republicans caused the affordability problem is a ‘hoax’ — and I think that’s true. If you go back to the Biden administration, inflation got up to 9% under the Biden administration.” — Rapid Response 47, June 16, 2026
Vance also gave a strong response to the panel’s remarks regarding border security. He turned their criticism back on them, asserting that the real issue arises from lax border policies that permit violent cartels to exploit vulnerable individuals, including children, through human trafficking.
