Mitchell Robinson’s Role in Knicks Victory Parade

Mitchell Robinson is set to make a notable appearance at the Knicks’ victory parade after their championship win. A source revealed that the center will drive one of the custom trucks during the parade through Manhattan’s Heroes Canyon on Thursday.

Robinson or a friend will take the wheel as the team celebrates its first championship in 53 years, having beaten the Spurs in five games.

Speculation about Robinson’s participation included the possibility of him bringing a truck from his home in White Plains. He seems to enjoy celebrating in a grand style.

In an interview earlier this year, Robinson shared details about his three trucks, known for their impressive rims, and mentioned receiving invitations to car shows across the country.

His Instagram features him sitting on a white truck’s flatbed, and just recently, a post from @thecelebrity_cars highlighted his collection of seven trucks.

Robinson has expressed his passion for vehicles, saying, “You can compete, you can show off your truck, you can get sponsors, you can do all those things. Show us your work, your ideas, your creativity.”

Interestingly, this parade may hold a significant meaning for Robinson. As the longest-tenured Nick, there is a chance he might become a free agent this offseason, which could mark an extraordinary exit from the franchise.

At 28 years old, Robinson’s journey with the Knicks has had its ups and downs since he was drafted in 2018. However, he recently shined in Game 5, nabbing a key offensive rebound in the closing seconds of the match to secure a 94-90 victory.

This performance was remarkable, especially since he contended with Victor Wembanyama for that crucial rebound while nursing a broken right hand.

Earlier in the playoffs, his defensive skills were crucial in establishing a 2-0 series lead against the Spurs, even thwarting a potential game-winning shot by Wembanyama.

The parade is projected to be the largest in the city’s history, kicking off at 10 a.m. from Battery Park and culminating in a celebration at City Hall hosted by Mayor Zoran Mamdani.
