Marlow: Illegal Immigrant Linked to UFC Terror Plan Is One of 'Obama's Valuable Dreamers'

Discussion on Terrorism and Immigration Policies

On a recent episode of the Charlie Kirk Show, Alex Marlowe, the editor-in-chief of Breitbart, made comments about a Mexican national linked to a planned terrorist attack at a UFC event, labeling him as one of former President Barack Obama’s “precious dreamers.”

Marlowe pointed out that the case underscores significant issues within U.S. immigration enforcement, attributing it to policies that, in his view, overly protect individuals designated as “Dreamers.” He mentioned the suspect was on an overstay visa, stating, “This guy is a Mexican who’s on an overstay visa because we don’t want to crack down on visas.” He initially suggested the person involved was a character named Luigi Mangione, who had previously attempted to attack billionaires.

Adding to his commentary, Marlowe expressed concern over the implications of this case and noted that Mangione’s team was claiming a psychiatric defense in his trial, which he found troubling given the left’s potential glorification of him. According to reports, however, by Thursday night, Mangione had decided against pursuing that defense.

Marlowe further articulated his belief that lenient immigration policies, such as birth tourism and chain migration, are contributing to broader national issues. He illustrated this with an example: “People are coming – they’re not even coming, but they’re sending surrogate mothers… the baby is born in America, but it’s actually growing up in China,” which could later allow family members to enter the U.S. via chain migration.

He concluded by connecting these issues to the legacy of the Obama era, remarking on the symbolic timing of the case as it relates to the opening of Obama’s library, viewing it as a “poetic moment.”

Later, Marlowe referenced a report from the Department of Homeland Security, which identified the ringleader of the plot, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, as a Mexican national who had overstayed his visa and was granted protection under the DACA program in 2014.
