Campbell’s New Soups Introduce Exciting Options
Campbell’s iconic red and white soup cans are getting an update, as the brand adds several new soups to its collection.
Campbell’s Condensed Gluten-Free Banza Chickpea Pasta and Chicken Soup
With a rise in gluten-free diets in the U.S., Campbell’s has teamed up with Banza to produce a gluten-free version of its classic condensed chicken noodle soup. It’s a significant move to cater to those looking for alternatives.
Rethinking Breakfast: Americans Trade Cereal for Soup
“This new variety combines the comfort of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup with Banza’s loved gluten-free chickpea penne pasta, providing a familiar flavor that fans cherish,” the company shared in a release.
With about 30% of the U.S. population on the lookout for gluten-free options, it seems to be a booming market, projected to grow significantly over the next decade.
Gluten, a protein commonly found in grains, is often present in breads, pastas, and many sauces. For some, like those with celiac disease—affecting roughly 1% of the population—consuming gluten can trigger serious health issues.
Sadly, many remain undiagnosed, potentially underestimating their gluten sensitivity. Some studies suggest that there might be even more individuals who could be sensitized to gluten but aren’t part of clinical diagnoses.
People dealing with gluten sensitivity can face various troubling symptoms, from abdominal pain to depression and fatigue, making gluten-free options all the more essential.
“For over 125 years, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup has been a mainstay in American homes,” remarked Benjamin Crook, a senior vice president at Campbell’s. “By partnering with Banza, we’re now able to offer that classic taste to more people searching for flavorful gluten-free choices that stand out at stores.”
This new chicken noodle soup is already available on Amazon and is set to make its way into retail stores across the nation.
Campbell’s Chunky Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Chicken Noodle Soup
In collaboration with Buffalo Wild Wings, Campbell’s has introduced a heartier soup option. This partnership aims to highlight modern flavors that resonate with a new generation of soup lovers.
Reportedly, Buffalo Wild Wings reigns as “America’s largest sports bar brand,” and this soup is but a part of its expanding menu through takeout and delivery services.
With protein being a key nutrient many Americans desire—70% according to a survey—this Chunky soup packs in 17 grams of protein per can, available in stores as of this month.
Campbell’s Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Variants
Last year, in keeping with the trend of bold flavors, Campbell’s launched several unique chunky soups, enhancing their offering just in time for the chilly months. These include creative dishes like beer cheese potato soup and beef chili infused with Pabst Blue Ribbon flavor.
Both are exclusive to Walmart and showcase Campbell’s intention to cater to evolving consumer tastes.
Reflecting on recent years, Campbell’s CEO noted a surge in home cooking, indicating that people are gravitating toward brands that deliver quality, value, and convenience.
Last year seemed a mixed bag for Campbell’s, with soup sales seeing growth while snack organic sales took a noticeable dip.
