RSLC Launches New Election Integrity Initiative

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is starting a nationwide effort aimed at election integrity, intending to counteract some effects of George Soros’ Secretary of State project, as reported by the Daily Caller.

According to a press release obtained by The Caller, the RSLC’s Election Protection Initiative (EPI) will lay out a defined “election integrity framework” for Republican secretaries of state and those running for office in 2026. This initiative comes just before 26 Secretary of State elections set for this year.

The EPI serves as a response to Soros’s initiative, which sought to liberalize election rules and bring Democratic secretaries of state to prominence during the early 2000s.

While mimicking some aspects of the Soros project, the RSLC emphasizes the critical nature of not only safeguarding elections but also ensuring the ideological unity of secretaries of state.

“Voters must feel assured that every legal vote counts and that elections are managed fairly, securely, and transparently,” stated RSLC President Edith Jorge Tuñon. “The Election Protection Initiative creates a straightforward set of principles guiding our endeavors in Secretary of State elections nationwide, while also backing leaders dedicated to maintaining election integrity.”

This initiative centers around four key principles aimed at bolstering election integrity: cleaning up voter rolls, advocating for voter identification, enhancing ballot security protocols, and ensuring transparency throughout the electoral process.

To meet its objectives, the EPI will employ methods like nonpartisan election oversight, transparent reporting practices, post-election audits, and vote tracking systems.

The RSLC has a notable history of advocating for election integrity, including the 2021 Election Trust Restoration Commission, which focused on the most effective strategies to secure elections and prevent voter fraud. This new initiative continues their longstanding commitment to protecting electoral processes.
