Unique Training Tactics for Second Amendment Enthusiasts
It’s quite remarkable—maybe even a bit unsettling—how far some individuals will go to elevate their Second Amendment training.
That was our reaction when we stumbled upon a brief 15-second video that emerged on X last June. Honestly, it was thrilling to watch, especially from the safety of our screen.
There’s nothing wrong with adhering to basic safety protocols, unlike what I’ve seen in some other circulating social media videos. This individual demonstrated excellent judgment—there was a solid backstop in place, and the firearm was consistently pointed in a safe direction throughout the entire exercise. That’s commendable.
What we see in the video is a man engaged in target practice at an outdoor range, but with a surprising twist. He opted to use firecrackers as a signal to start his drill and proceeded while they were exploding.
They performed a 15-second combat drill amidst the noise of the firecrackers, and remarkably, all their shots seemed to hit the intended targets. They even managed to switch magazines during this chaotic moment. The level of noise at that time was pretty impressive, likely fueled by adrenaline.
In standard target practice scenarios, you usually hear a buzzer or alarm as the “go” signal, something more traditional. For those who view handguns primarily as self-defense tools, integrating fireworks undoubtedly injects a dose of reality into the training.
People are always searching for ways to enhance their range experiences. This, I think, might be one of the more inventive approaches to doing just that.
