Charges Filed in Double Murder Case in Pennsylvania

In January 2023, authorities discovered the bodies of Richard and Rita Zajko in their Pennsylvania residence, both victims of gunshot wounds. Recently, their 33-year-old child, Michelle “Jamie” Zajko, was charged with the double murder.

Michelle Zajko has connections to the extremist transgender group Zizian. Members of this group, believed to be involved in multiple murders nationwide, were also linked to the 2025 shooting death of a Vermont Border Patrol agent during a routine traffic stop.

Prosecutors stated, “We can confidently assert that Michelle Zajko played a significant role in the deaths of her parents.” This declaration confirmed suspicions that had been lingering since the couple’s deaths.

Shortly after the Zajkos were found dead, police apprehended Michelle Zajko at a Pennsylvania hotel where she was with a man named Daniel Blank, also linked to the Zizian organization.

During the investigation, officers discovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm bullet in Blank’s hotel room, which is believed to have connections to Michelle Zajko, along with numerous boxes of ammunition.

Daniel Blank is facing several charges, including felony trespassing and drug offenses, and was granted release in February 2026 after posting a $15,000 bail, under specific conditions like living alone and adhering to GPS monitoring.

Authorities claimed that Michelle Zajko engaged in questionable activities post-murder, such as acquiring firearms and burner phones, as well as transferring substantial sums of money.

Further investigations suggest that she may have purchased weapons previously confiscated from other Zizian members following the fatal shooting of Agent David Marando.

Currently, Michelle Zajko remains in custody without bail. She faces charges related to trespassing and drug possession in Maryland, among others.

Delaware County District Attorney Tanner Rouse revealed additional charges against Zajko for her parents’ murders. “This thorough investigation has taken years, but we are now certain of Michelle Zajko’s involvement,” he stated, adding that she didn’t act alone but specifics about any accomplices remain unclear.

In response to these serious accusations, the Zajko family issued a statement highlighting the speculation and misinformation surrounding the case. They expressed a desire for the truth to emerge, believing that evidence will clarify the situation.
