Venezuela Price, the daughter of boxing champion Tyson Fury, recently shared her thoughts after marrying at just 16 years old in May.
The young couple, she and her husband Noah Price, who is 19, have faced significant criticism regarding their marriage.
Much of the backlash stems from their ages, but also from Venezuela’s choice of footwear—she wore Crocs—and the unusual wedding gifts they received.
“Unless it’s family or friends, I don’t care because they’re the most important thing to me,” Venezuela mentioned during an interview on ITV1’s This Morning. “I don’t like when people are unkind. I don’t agree with it,” she added.
Her family has been supportive of her decision to marry young, stating that she is mature for her age. The wedding took place at St. John’s Royal Chapel on the Isle of Man.
Venezuela’s mother, Paris, reflected on her own marriage to Tyson Fury at 17, saying her daughter is following in her footsteps, having found the “love of her” at a young age.
“Yes, I am young, but I have found the person I want and moved on with my life,” Venezuela remarked. “Everyone has to start somewhere, so I started young.”
The family’s support was evident in the lavish $7 million wedding, which featured a $54,000 dress and decorations including 10,000 blue hydrangeas, along with a cake towering over 12 feet.
Venezuela expressed that she has no regrets about her early marriage, enjoying this new chapter of her life, despite the shift in pace. She moved from living with her six siblings to East Yorkshire to create a life with Noah.
Meanwhile, Noah, a British boxer in the amateur super heavyweight division for Chesterfield ABC, seems equally content, sharing that they are “already married.”
