Brooks Nader Reveals Her Role in the Upcoming ‘Baywatch’ Reboot

Brooks Nader is giving fans a glimpse into her character in the revived version of ‘Baywatch.’

The 29-year-old actress and model recently captured attention by donning the classic red swimsuit associated with the show while filming beach scenes alongside the cast for the upcoming reboot.

In the photos, Nader sports a high-cut red one-piece that showcases her long legs and beach-ready physique.

This reboot also features Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, and Hussie Harrison, with plans for a premiere on Fox scheduled for January 2027.

Nader’s casting was announced by Fox on Instagram back in March, highlighting how she “brought this role to life.” She’ll portray Selene, the lifeguard captain at Zuma Beach.

Excited about her role, Nader took to social media to confirm the news, sharing several behind-the-scenes images, including one from her childhood where she wore a shirt proclaiming “Movie Star” and another where she’s in a one-piece swimsuit.

In her caption, she expressed, “I believed this long before I knew what it meant 💫. No matter how wild the circumstances, never give up and keep chasing your dreams!!!!!! @baywatchtv @foxtv Let’s go! ❤️.”

While she’s thrilled about her involvement, some on social media raised concerns regarding the casting choices, suggesting they leaned heavily towards influencers rather than traditional acting talent.

Critics described the casting as “influencer casting, not acting,” disparaging the project as a “joke” with a “poor cast.” Nader isn’t the only influencer in the lineup; other notable names include TikTok star Noah Beck and social media personality Libby Dunn, who boasts over 13 million followers.

In response to the backlash, Nader remarked, “I think it’s a different time. Everyone is multi-hyphenate now, and you can be an actor or an influencer and have influence. That’s the beauty of the culture that social media has created.”

She elaborated, “We have a platform now. There was no social media in the ’90s, no Instagram or TikTok. Now, people can express their voices, and as long as they’re using it for good, it brings a vibe to the show.”

The original ‘Baywatch’ aired for twelve years from 1989 to 2001, launching the careers of stars like Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra.

Reflecting on the past, Elektra, who joined the series in its eighth season in 1997, reminisced during a recent appearance. She shared her struggles before her big break, even mentioning she was “homeless in LA” at one point, indicating the challenges she faced and overcame on her journey.
