The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is marking a significant milestone with the arrest of over 10,000 illegal alien gang members since President Donald Trump began his second term last year.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, ICE has arrested more than 10,000 gang members,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin earlier this week.
The arrest of MS-13 member Javier Hernández Rosas from Mexico by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) represents the agency’s 10,000th gang member apprehension since January 20, 2025. Rosas has a criminal background that includes cocaine possession, kidnapping, and weapons offenses.
Over the past year and a half, ICE has detained other gang members who have been convicted of serious offenses such as murder, drug trafficking, criminal conspiracy, extortion, and robbery.
Secretary Marin emphasizes that he is carrying out President Trump’s agenda to enhance safety in America. The 10,000 individuals captured have committed severe crimes like murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and racketeering conspiracy.
