Ohio man accused of planning an attack on the UFC White House stockpiled weapons and ammunition

Former FBI agent details alleged plot to attack White House UFC event

Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker highlighted disturbing allegations of a terrorist plan during her speech at the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. She commended the parents of Theisen Proper for their bravery in notifying authorities, which ultimately helped prevent a meticulously crafted scheme involving drone attacks and snipers targeting attendees.

Authorities reported that an Ohio man is accused of plotting a terrorist attack at the White House during a UFC match. Theisen Proper, 19, is among seven individuals charged for this conspiracy related to the UFC Freedom 250 event scheduled for June 14. The FBI initially became aware of this plan on June 10 and coordinated with local law enforcement to carry out the arrests.

A report from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office noted that Proper allegedly spent around $3,000 purchasing tactical gear, including a vest, a shotgun, and other munitions.

On June 5, Proper reportedly acquired a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, adorned with an American flag, along with the necessary ammunition.

Proper also bought an AR-15 rifle on January 13. He was said to have two firearms: the aforementioned shotgun and an AR-15 equipped with sights. Additionally, he purportedly amassed extensive tactical gear at home, including three ballistic plate carriers, a variety of ammunition, medical supplies, and multiple blades.

Proper’s stockpile reportedly involved around 1,000 rounds, along with sophisticated medical trauma equipment and various tactical items. Allegations from the criminal complaint revealed that he utilized funds meant for his graduation to build this arsenal.

The complaint further states that Proper’s father informed law enforcement that his son had quit his job to engage in activities with individuals he met online. Meanwhile, Proper’s mother reported his firearm purchases and online behavior to authorities.

She conveyed a sense of urgency to a 911 dispatcher, stating, “We took all the guns and ammunition out of his room and removed them from our property. He just came into the house and will probably notice that it’s not in his room.”
