World Cup Attendees Embrace American Culture

During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, many international visitors are immersing themselves in American life. Rich Edson from Fox News and podcast host Emily Austin have discussed how tourists are enjoying everything from American food to hospitality. Austin has even been sharing videos showcasing fans discovering cities across the U.S., which, surprisingly, seems to create a positive vibe. It’s reminiscent of the good aspects of the nation and works against some of the less flattering narratives pushed by the media.

In a less festive development, two Argentine YouTubers, Pato Perrotta, aged 26, and Beni Marmol, 20, were arrested during a match. They’ve been charged with felony counts for allegedly attempting to bypass security using fraudulent credentials. This incident occurred at Hard Rock Stadium during the Colombia-Portugal game.

According to an affidavit from a deputy with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, Perrotta claimed he was working for a media outlet and that he had qualifications. The deputy noted, however, that the credentials he presented were outdated and not valid for this event.

Marmol mentioned he was a media influencer aiming to stream the games. Both were detained for interfering with a sporting event, a charge that could lead to a maximum of five years in prison. They are currently being held on a $2,500 bail.

A live streamer, Momo Benavidez, stated he had been in contact with the YouTubers’ manager. He mentioned that bail had been paid, and they could be released soon, though the exact details of the situation remain somewhat unclear.

Momo added that the two influencers would remain in the U.S. until everything is sorted out, noting that they wouldn’t be sent home immediately, yet would need to keep their distance from any World Cup venues.

Despite the troubles, Perrotta and Marmol have substantial followings on YouTube, with Perrotta boasting over 500,000 subscribers and Marmol having around 270,000. Their content has included a mix of luxury shopping and fun challenges, showing that their brands extend beyond just sports. I guess the complexities of life don’t always go as planned, right? Who would’ve thought a World Cup trip could take such a wild turn?
