President Donald Trump has made a significant announcement about the upcoming midterm elections.
He revealed intentions to chair the first-ever Republican midterm convention, scheduled for September in Dallas, Texas. This idea first came up in August 2025, according to his social media updates.
“America’s Golden Age has just begun!”
Trump expressed excitement about the event, describing it as unprecedented and historic. He aims to celebrate the nation’s resurgence and acknowledge the success of people who have embraced an America First agenda. He mentioned, “It’s going to be amazing! We’re going to honor the incredible success that has transformed our country.”
He took a moment to highlight his achievements, like border security, crime reduction, and energy independence.
According to Trump, this convention will set the stage for the next 250 years of prosperity.
“The event will gather hardworking Americans, innovators, entrepreneurs, first responders, and job creators to support this nation’s golden age, showing that America’s best days are still ahead,” he added. He also hinted at some exciting entertainment, calling it a unique rally.
Richard Hudson, chairperson of the National Republican Congressional Committee, commended Trump in a social media statement. He stated, “President Trump has united the Republican Party behind results-driven policies.” He emphasized that the convention is key to energizing supporters and ensuring Republicans maintain a majority in the House this November.
The midterm conference is set for September 9th to 10th.
On the opposite side, the Democratic Party had considered organizing a midterm convention but ultimately decided against it, possibly due to a drop in donations that made the venture less feasible.
The convention is expected to galvanize Republican voters for the midterm elections, which will play a crucial role in determining Congress’s control during the remainder of Trump’s second term.
“America’s golden age has just begun!” Trump reiterated as he concluded.
