Caitlin Clark Dominates WNBA Despite Off-Court Headlines
Caitlin Clark has made quite a splash in the news this season, but—focusing on the court—it’s important to remember how exceptional she’s been when healthy.
Just a day after being named an All-Star starter for the third straight year, she also received the title of WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June. This marks her second time earning this honor. Previously, she won Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month in August 2024, making her one of only two players in Indiana Fever history to achieve this feat, alongside Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings, who has won the award three times.

Throughout June, Clark was remarkable, putting up averages of 21.9 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds over 10 games. She shot 45.6 percent from the floor and 35.1 percent from three-point range. Notably, she ranked fourth in the WNBA for scoring and second in assists, helping Indiana achieve a 7-4 record and leading the league’s highest-scoring offense, with an average of 95.5 points per game.
One of her standout moments occurred on June 11. Against Chicago, she dazzled with 32 points and 10 assists, making history alongside teammate Aliyah Boston as the first duo in WNBA history to each net a double-double with 30 points in the same match. Then, just five days later, in a game versus Toronto, she scored 21 points and set a season-high with 14 assists.
From June 11 to June 22, Clark achieved at least 20 points and five assists in six consecutive games, which set a new WNBA record. Remarkably, this is the third instance in her career of reaching these numbers in consecutive games—something no other player has done combined even three times in league history.
Unfortunately, this impressive streak ended during a game on June 24 against Indiana University and Phoenix. Clark had already tallied 19 points and eight assists when a hip injury forced her to leave in the third quarter after an incident involving a serious foul by Alyssa Thomas.
As July approaches, Clark continues to break records. She needs just nine assists to hit 600 and five 3-pointers to become the fastest player ever to reach 200 career threes.
