ICE unveils wanted poster for two sons of El Chapo with a $10M bounty

“Two down, two more to go,” echoed through the air. A new wanted poster has been issued, this time targeting the last fugitive sons of the infamous Mexican drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman-Loera, who is currently serving a life sentence plus an additional 30 years in a federal supermax prison in Colorado.

On Monday, ICE unveiled wanted posters for Ivan Alfredo Guzmán Salazar and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar, the sons of El Chapo and his first wife, Alejandrina María Salazar Hernandez. Following El Chapo’s capture in 2016, the Sinaloa cartel was taken over by Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada. After Zambada’s arrest during the Biden administration, control transitioned to Guzman’s four sons.

Both the Trump administration in the U.S. and the Sheinbaum administration in Mexico have expressed commitment to tackling the cartel’s new leadership.

The posters boldly declare, “2 losers, 2 more to go, $10 million bounty,” marking the captured Joaquín Guzmán López and Ovidio Guzmán López with an X. The two already captured are reportedly cooperating with authorities, but ICE warns that Ivan and Jesús are still considered “armed and dangerous.”

The fugitives face charges related to drug distribution and conspiracy to maintain a criminal enterprise. So far, two of Guzmán’s four sons have been captured through the Take Back America initiative, which seeks to “completely eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations” to safeguard American communities from violence.

Andrew Boutros, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, stated that the ongoing efforts to capture El Chapo’s sons reflect a broader commitment to bringing drug lords and other dangerous criminals to justice, emphasizing their role in the distribution of harmful drugs and associated violence.

In the plea agreement, Guzmán López acknowledged the violence perpetuated against law enforcement, rival drug traffickers, and even members of their own organization to protect the Sinaloa Cartel’s human trafficking activities.

Fox News Digital has contacted ICE and DHS for further comments regarding the significant capture missions targeting the Chapitos.
