North Carolina pastor Dwayne Waden attempted to stick wife’s co-worker’s head into deep fryer

A High Point, North Carolina, pastor was arrested last week on charges that he assaulted his wife's co-worker and tried to shove her head into a McDonald's deep fryer, police said.

The High Point Police Department reported that on Dec. 28, a woman was training to become a manager at a McDonald's location on Main Street when she was treated with “rude behavior” by an employee.

As a result, the woman called her husband, Dwayne Wayden, 57, and asked him to defuse the situation.

Witnesses told police that when Weiden arrived, he entered the McDonald's, walked around the counter and then put his hands around the victim's neck.

Police said Weiden allegedly grabbed the victim by the neck and then pushed her head against the restaurant's deep fryer.

Police allege Weyden punched the victim in the face several times and did not stop punching him until multiple employees pulled him away from the victim.

Police said the victim suffered “significant bruising” to his forehead and right eye, as well as abrasions to his neck.

Emergency services arrived at the scene, but the victim had a family member drive him to the hospital instead.

Police said officers were able to view surveillance footage of the incident before arresting Weyden on assault and battery charges.

Mr. Weiden was transported to police headquarters and posted $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court on January 22nd.

On his Facebook page, Weiden describes himself as a semi-truck driver and a pastor with Elevated Life International Ministries.
