A caravan of pro-Palestinian protesters drove around New York City's John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport and released balloons on New Year's Day, resulting in 60 flights on one of the busiest travel days of the year. Flights were delayed and confusion ensued.
Vehicles bearing radical slogans such as “There's only one solution: revolution,” “Long Live the Resistance,” and “Fuck Israel” circle the roads leading to the airport, keeping passengers as well as airline crews on time. I was unable to reach the terminal. .

Some of the slogans and chants by passengers inside the cars echoed anti-Israel rhetoric and anti-police sentiments familiar from the Black Lives Matter movement, which sparked riots in nearly every major U.S. city from 2014 to 2020. Some combined rhetoric.

Hateful anti-Israel protesters shouting inflammatory chants disrupted traffic and caused chaos as they arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday, the busiest travel day of the year. One of them gave birth to a nightmare.
The Belt Parkway, a major thoroughfare for vehicles heading to the airport, was cleared by police near Exit 20 in an attempt to stem the flow of the “Flood JFK for Gaza” protests organized by Within Our Lifetime. It was temporarily blocked. Palestinian-led activist group.

The New Year's Day protests are just the latest effort by pro-Palestinian protesters to disrupt travel at major U.S. airports. Other protests targeted JFK Airport, Los Angeles LAX, and Chicago's O'Hare.
