Lately, I've been thinking about personal power. We have been trained by highly influential people and organizations to forget this. In the past, we could be trained by organizations to better empower ourselves, but now that corporations are aligned with governments, we are forced to believe that we are small and powerless. I feel it.
stop it.
I want to tell you a story that begins with a man alone in a field in the early 20th century and continues to where we are today.
In the early 1900s, an American found himself alone on a battlefield that was not a battle of bullets and bombs, but of wit, innovation, and stamina. This battle will decide both the fate of the industry and our lives as a whole.
The main character was born into a poor family in a log cabin and was a genius. In his teens, he had an uncanny ability to imagine the future beyond the limits of time. His favorite subjects were science and mathematics. He had a dream with his science teacher, and at first the teacher thought he was a little crazy. Most geniuses are initially recognized as such.
Our hero faced all kinds of obstacles that would break the will of many, but was driven by an unwavering belief that tomorrow could be better than today. He had unwavering hope in his personal strength and in the incredible feats our country could accomplish through hard work and determination.
All of us in independent media have thrived on principles of honesty, integrity, and intellectual curiosity that are nearly dead in mainstream media.
He believed that in our country we could stand up to this man.
And he did.
When he started, everyone opposed him: the titans of industry, the titans of commerce, the financial lords. He had one major opponent who tried to undermine his ideas. This enemy sabotaged his work and sent spies into his workshop. But no matter how much money this man spent, no matter how much power this man had, no matter how much he spent on resources, our little hero just kept working.
One day, the protagonist was plowing the fields on his family's farm. As he turned his plow to start a new row, he saw that all the rows were lined up next to each other. It gave him an idea, and in that moment the whole world changed. He imagined a series of dots lined up, like rows on his family's farm, that could transmit images on a screen.
When he spoke of this, he was met with ridicule, skepticism, and even betrayal from those he trusted. He set up a small research institute in San Francisco, but could not get anyone to invest. He had been making his own devices, but he had many failures because he didn't know how to make them. With unwavering belief in his vision, he began creating his own small components and improvised solutions.
On September 7, 1927, he transmitted the first electronic television image: a straight line. He used a single electron beam to create the first fully functional all-electronic television system.
As the years passed, the fruits of his labor began to take shape. One day, to the shock of his world, he published his work. It was a groundbreaking innovation that changed the way we work, live and communicate.
This invention is a marvel of modern engineering and design and has fascinated people. It shocked an industry that had once tried to destroy him. The titans who had been mocking him realized that he was desperately trying to catch up as the Empire began to crumble. Through a series of long battles with these giants in court, our hero defends his patent and secures his place in history.
That little man who faced insurmountable odds and emerged victorious was Philo Farnsworth.
He was the inventor of a fully functioning all-electronic television system, a device that united families, shaped culture, and connected us to the world and the universe. We saw a man fight a lone battle against the giants of his time, and whose largely forgotten brainchild made it possible to walk on the moon.
Farnsworth is a vital source of inspiration for me. In 2011, we launched BlazeTV. At the time, traditional cable networks were still dominant in news and entertainment. I remember sitting in my office, looking out at the news team, and Stu, our executive producer, and I said, “We’re going to make this happen. “Everything will fall apart around them.” We have decided to embrace the power of the internet and the power of our audience.
Just like Farnsworth, the “establishment” didn't like us.They laughed and said it would be. I never have work.
We've bypassed TV gatekeepers and made BlazeTV a place where independent voices can be heard. It was a place to learn the truth and have thoughtful discussions about the issues that matter most. And because of our success, others Followed in our footsteps while our mainstream critics struggled to survive. A new wave of independent media organizations has emerged, harnessing the power of the Internet to create alternative sources of information and entertainment.
All of us in independent media have thrived on principles of honesty, integrity, and intellectual curiosity that are nearly dead in mainstream media. Today's mainstream media is tragically clinging to the past and exposing itself in desperation to survive.
People in mainstream media don't want to be useful and relevant. The fact that they want to call women men and men women is not out of relevance, but a cry of despair. In reality, the only way to survive is to remain loyal only To the truth. We are not fighting people. We are fighting despair. we are fighting evil. It is a relentless attack of lies and manipulation.
But the truth always weathers the storm.
Most people don't know that I named BlazeTV after two things. One of them was Moses' burning bush.it was the flame of truth BurnBut it was I never have Consumed. As long as we are true, the fire intention It burns and is never consumed.
Things change all the time, but we would like to remind you that it is the individual who makes all the difference. Our country is a testament to the power of innovation, resilience, individual conviction, free speech, open debate, and the importance of the rule of law. May it be your ray of hope this week. No matter what falls apart around us, there are people who have something better in mind. And it's growing.
Now we are witnessing the collapse of truth. Please know that you helped build an alternative to those lies. Positive change is possible if we believe in the truth and ourselves.
